Google themes

For the first time in a very long time, I am confused :-).. I can't make up my mind as to what Google theme I should use! I change it 10 times a day, almost like those farcical things, which claim to change colour with mood. My favourite is Shiny. I like Mountains and Pebbles as well. But definitely Zoozimps is HILARIOUS. That character peeping into your chat window and pointing at incoming chats :-)

:)

Wrote this based on a personal experience, a few months ago.

It's 5.45 pm. 'Just another fifteen minutes remaining', he tells himself. He decides to prepare for the massacre. He takes out his round object, green on the outside and begins to peel it whilst cutting it simultaneously into smaller fragments. He then takes out two more white oval objects and slices it into finer pieces. Both of them look on anxiously. A hard day's effort is to be finally rewarded. They both take a look at the watch again. 5.50 pm. Ten more minutes to go. He takes out a bottle of water and pours it into two plastic glasses, one for him and one for her. The big beast (feast) is yet to be unleashed. From a bag underneath his seat, he takes out two parcels of rotting meat. Mutton my nose tells me, primarily because I have never experiences such a ghastly odour before. 5.53 pm. Seven more minutes. Curse god! He takes out the pickle and adorns his newspaper parceled mutton biryani with spicy ginger pickle. Shite. What a combo. He waits and waits until it's time to go for the kill. With two small beeps, the expensive Titan watch on his hand signals it's time. A small prayer to Allah, a sip of water each, and then they go for it. What I witnessed for the next fifteen minutes was like nothing I've seen before. Two people, two mutton biryanis, 4 eggs, 2 oranges, one glass of mango juice and 4 packets of lemon ginger pickle to go with it. So... This is what Ramzan is all about.

A day in the life of an IITian...

It’s college reopening time again, after the December break. Here are a few things I simply can’t WAIT to get back to,

1. Waking up at 7.30 am and dragging myself to a first hour class
2. Lunch! Wow. Mess food rocks. What day of the week is it again? Ah! Wednesday. Fresh and spicy rasam and beet root curry, served hot!
3. Post lunch classes. Isn’t it a spectacular feeling, attending classes on a hot summer afternoon in Madras with a full tummy?
4. 4 pm. Tea time. Gurunath coffee, and veg puff. Will I ever get bored of that!
5. TV Serial watching time. THE best part of the day, spending the whole evening locked up in my room, in front of the computer downloading tv series from the LAN.
6. Dinner again. Wednesday? Hmm… Dosai, watery sambhar and bland chutney.
7. Late night coffee at Tiffanys.
8. Sight adichufying hideous ‘sharav-babes’ in their nighties and pyjamas.
9. 1 pm. %^&(* LAN. Goodnight.

Hello dead baby

NOTE: If you are under 18 or even remotely allergic to repulsive stuff, please leave :)

This post is dedicated to the innumerable dead baby jokes which float on the internet. Here are a few,

# What is the difference between a baby and a dart-board?
Dart-boards don't bleed.

# What is more fun than nailing a baby to a wall?
Ripping it off again.

# What is more fun than throwing a baby off the cliff?
Catching it with a pitchfork.

# Know what's gross?
Running over a baby with a truck.
Know what's worse?
Skidding on it.
Worse than that?
Peeling it off the tires.

A lot more can be found on the internet. I personally find them very humourous, though ghastly. So, happy laughing :)

I have NO idea how long it has been since I wrote a post, but of late I’ve been frequently getting this sudden urge to speak out and do a 'Dear diary'. I don’t know what’s going to come out of this post, but I know for sure what’s triggered it. My Winamp playlist randomly played 3 nostalgic songs and my heart just broke down. I’m not too much of a writer, so I really can’t convey my feelings too well, so unhook your seat belts and exit when bored :)

One thing I’ve always wanted to do is play live, on stage, and with a good band. We performed at Saarang Light Music this year, and really, I was in awe of every other band member. It was so much fun, and it all seemed so very perfect. Ranging from a drummer cum vocalist, who happens to be a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy, to a multi talented violinist, we had ‘em all! Well, we did not place, I don’t think we were even in the top half of the list for that matter, but it was FUN period. My playlist just played 3 of the 4 songs which we had practiced – Pyaar Humen Kis Mod Par Le Aaya, Kishore Kumar; Bandeh, Indian Ocean; Bheegi Bheegi, Gangster. I want to go back two weeks, 5.30 in the morning, practice for an hour, go to the tea shop outside Krishna Hostel, have chaai, go back to room, sleep, bunk classes all day, wake up for lunch, skip lunch, go back to sleep…

Music does stuff to people. Sometimes, ‘stuff’ does music to people :). A friend of mine smoked the holy herb, and decided to compose a song for the band… Well, it didn’t come out so well, so we had to chuck it out 

Blah, I guess this post turned out to be nothing but an incoherent collection of thoughts. Sorry :)

Hey cyberspace, I’m back!

Profound thoughts

Life is a circle. The later you start, the earlier you catch up :-)

Did that make sense to anyone?

Whatever.. Can I give the same title to two different posts??

Why have orkut changed the look of their opening page?? It looks so sick all of a sudden!!.. Subtle changes only, still.. It looks so sick!.. Mebbe its an attempt to wean kids from it? :) .. Bah, I dont care.. I'm already de-addicted :|

In other very very exciting news, college just reopened :)
